Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy

PoolChem is designed with privacy first. We do not collect or store your personal data within the App. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Enter

When you use PoolChem, you may enter pool-related data such as water test readings, chemical inventory, pool settings, and notes. This information is:

• Stored entirely on your local device
• Not transmitted to any server by the App
• Not accessible to PoolChem or its creators
• Under your control at all times

Information We Do Not Collect

PoolChem does not collect or store personal information within the App, including:

• Name, email address, or contact details
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Device identifiers
• Pool chemistry data entered into the App

However, when you access the App, limited technical information such as your IP address may be processed by third-party infrastructure providers as part of standard web requests (see Section 4).

Accounts

PoolChem does not require account creation or user registration.

2. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage. Your data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove access to stored data. You are responsible for backing up your data using the CSV export feature.

We cannot recover your data if it is lost.

While PoolChem is designed with privacy and security in mind, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

3. Cookies and Tracking

PoolChem does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services, or similar tracking technologies.

PoolChem does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals, as no tracking technologies are used.

4. Third-Party Services

PoolChem does not connect to third-party services for its core functionality. All resources, including fonts and charting libraries, are bundled within the App. No network requests are made to external servers during normal App usage.

When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple. Apple may collect information related to the transaction in accordance with their Privacy Policy. PoolChem does not have access to your payment information.

5. Children's Privacy

PoolChem is intended for use by adults. The App involves pool chemical handling and is not designed for or directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at support@poolchemtracker.com.

This policy is intended to comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including but not limited to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

6. Your Rights

Because PoolChem does not collect or store personal information within the App, we do not have personal data to access, correct, or delete on your behalf.

You maintain full control over your data:

• You can export your data at any time using the CSV export feature
• You can delete your data at any time by deleting the app from your device or using in-app reset options

California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have rights related to their personal information.

Because PoolChem does not collect or store personal information within the App:

• We do not sell or share personal information
• We do not have personal data to disclose, delete, or correct upon request

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the revised "Effective Date."

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

If future versions of PoolChem introduce features that involve data collection or user accounts, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and user consent will be obtained where required.
